PROACTIVE New York State

PROACTIVE

PROACTIVE NYS is a long-term follow-up study of all infants who screen positive for congenital CMV throughout New York State.

By following all infants who screen positive, PROACTIVE NYS will learn important information about the range of symptoms caused by congenital CMV, from those babies with more severe findings to those with no symptoms.

PROACTIVE NYS is a collaborative study. The team includes Pediatric Infectious Disease experts from around New York State, the New York State Department of Health Newborn Screen program, Frontier Science & Technology, our patients, their families, and their Pediatricians.

Frontier Science provides core data management services and support including: data collection instrument development and implementation of data collection instruments, data collection, enrollment software, data quality assurance and quality control, software development for project-specific applications, computer-based communications and services, website development and maintenance to include an interactive dashboard and education, and training. Statistical expertise and support are also provided for the study.
